About Us

What is your refund policy?

Because we don't lock our members into long term memberships, contracts or commitments, SGMA does not offer refunds on unused memberships, belt tests, uniforms or equipment.

No. All of our memberships are recurring Monthly and can be canceled at anytime with a 30 Day Notice with no cancelation feeby filing out our easy Membership Cancelation Form. This means we have to work hard to keep you coming back each month!

Our programs start students as early as 4 years old with our Justins' Mighty Dragons (JMD) classes. This program is an introduction to taekwondo and is specifically desinged around the physical and cognitive developement of children ages 4 - 6 year olds (or still in kindergarten).

Please bring loose fitting clothes and a water bottle. We train in our bare feet so don't worry about footwear. Because we need to keep our floors clean, no outdoor shoes are permitted inside the club.

We teach World Taekwondo (WT), which is one of the few styles of martial arts that compete in the Summer Olympic Games.

That's okay, it happens! Go home and practice the technique(s) that you struggled with. You will also get a chance to work with an instructor at your next class on those techniques. Then when you are ready, you can re-test, without any extra re-test fees!

Our students advance based on skill and hard work, not time so students are rewarded for the effor they put in. Taekwondo is an individual sport and all students progress at their own pace. On average, it takes a few months to advance from white belt to yellow belt. With each belt, the techniques get harder so the time in between each belt advancements takes longer.

Out of respect for the other students and instructors in your class, and for your safety, if you are more than 10 minutes late for class and miss the warmup and stretch, you will be not be able to participate in that class. You can, however, choose to attend the following class (if spots are avaiable) or book a make-up class at no cost.

Yes. A clean and properly fitted dobok is required for class at all times (unless it's a trial class or you're waiting for a uniform from us).
